Benjamin Häublein studied Mathematics at the University of Freiburg. He completed his studies in 2016 with a Master of Science degree. Besides mathematical contents, the study program included a field of application in computer science, with a focus on networks and operating systems as well as programming.
During his studies, Benjamin Häublein already gained practical experience implementing a filter in a real-time software for magnetic resonance imaging devices in the “Motion Correction” research group at the University Medical Center Freiburg. What is more, he led tutorials for lectures on Mathematics.
In his spare time, he is involved in IT-security-related open-source projects, e.g. in the development of a password manager.
Benjamin Häublein has been working as a consultant at cirosec GmbH since September 2016, where he mainly conducts penetration tests of web applications, mobile apps, networks and services. Another field of activity is secure development. In this field, he carries out source code analyses and measures for developer awareness; what is more, he draws up guidelines on secure development. On top of that, he is a trainer of the “Hacking Extreme” and “Hacking Extreme Web Applications” cirosec trainings.
Benjamin Häublein is a certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer.
