Security in AWS Cloud Environments

Using hands-on exercises and demonstrations based on typical threat scenarios, you will learn which security aspects should be taken into account for the design, configuration and operation of cloud architectures.

During the training, we will discuss typical threat scenarios and risks in cloud environments.

We also focusing on the discussion of specific risks in AWS cloud environments and the presentation of suitable measures to minimize the discussed risks. This concerns the following aspects:

• Secure setup of an AWS infrastructure
• Securing the cloud
• Permissions management
• Logging
• Serverless computing

In addition, we will show the typical organizational and technical challenges of the secure operation of an AWS cloud environment and discuss possible solutions.

At the end of the training, the participants will have a thorough understanding of possible threats and be able to efficiently implement the recommendations on the protection of AWS cloud environments in the future.
