Profile
After having completed his training as an industrial electronics technician, he acquired the title “certified engineer” in the field of electrical engineering with a focus on information technology.
From 2005 to 2010 he worked as a software development engineer for database-driven web applications and other web technologies. Back then, security aspects had already played a vital role in his work. He acquired profound knowledge of various programming languages (PHP, ASP.NET, C#). Another focus of his job was the source code analysis of web applications.
Joshua Tiago has been working as a consultant at cirosec since 2011. During numerous projects over the years, he has further improved his skills in the fields of penetration tests, reverse engineering, OT security, digital forensics, incident response and conceptual analyses.
Having played a major part in building cirosec’s incident response team, Joshua Tiago now has a leading role in this team. As an Incident Manager, he assists incident response SLA customers in handling security incidents.
Being an instructor of the cirosec trainings “Incident Handling & Response” and “Forensics Extreme”, he also plays a vital role in developing these trainings. Joshua Tiago speaks at different conferences and regularly authors articles in technical journals on current IT security topics. Moreover, he gives lectures on different IT security topics at various universities as a guest lecturer
