During the course of the training, specific risks in Office 365 will be discussed and suitable measures to minimize these risks will be presented. This includes the following aspects:

• Data security vs. data loss
• Account misuse and identity theft
• Insufficient strategy for cloud migration and operation
• Emergency concepts
• Attacks on availability

The second part of the training will focus on the discussion of specific risks in Office 365 and the presentation of suitable measures to minimize the discussed risks. This concerns the following aspects:

• Secure setup and configuration of an Office 365 tenant
• Securing Office 365
• Secure configuration of client components
• Permissions and user management
• Integration of an O365 environment into an existing enterprise infrastructure

In addition, we will show the typical organizational and technical challenges of the secure operation of an Office 365 environment and discuss possible solutions.

At the end of the training, the participants will have a thorough understanding both of how Office 365 works and of possible threats, and they will be able to efficiently implement the measures to protect an O365 environment in the future.
